MS to speak at International Congress of Clinical Occupational Therapy

Mali Levav, who has been an integral part of the MS Employment Support Service (ESS) team since 2011 will be speaking at the 1st International / 5th Japanese Congress of Clinical Occupational Therapy in July this year.

This is an international congress for occupational therapists (OTs) and is the first time an Australian has been accepted to speak at this symposium. It is a tremendous honour and we congratulate Mali on this outstanding achievement, not only for herself and the ESS, but also the MS organisation as a whole.

It is especially an honour to have Mali be accepted to speak, as multiple sclerosis is a very rare condition in Japan – but the principles of the ESS program can be applied to all people with chronic conditions, and we believe will be valuable information to share.

“I am very excited and honoured,” Mali says. “It’s a great honour to present on MS and our program especially. I feel it is not about me, it’s about us.”

You can read more about the International Congress here (including Mali’s abstract).
