COVID-19 Survey results

We have recently conducted a client survey seeking feedback about the resources and activities MSL has delivered through 2020 aimed at helping the MS community be informed and feel supported and connected during COVID-19. Covid19 Survey Results Banner

As a result, 242 people completed the survey providing us with valuable insights about their experience and preferences, which will inform our activities and programs in 2021.

Our team is committed to addressing the needs of our clients and the MS community, so we thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey. We also welcome feedback from the community at any point in time. If you would like to share your thoughts with us, please contact us at

Survey highlights

  • Overall, our COVID-19 resources were well received, with most of the survey respondents "agreeing" or "strongly agreeing" that MSL activities and resources during COVID-19 were useful.
  • We received responses from all the states where we operate in: 54.9% from Victoria, 31.8% from NSW, 5.7% from the ACT and 7% from TAS.
  • During COVID, MSL websites and activities were the third most preferred source of information, following the Government websites and MS Australia's website
  • Emails, webinars and website updates were the most useful resources released from MSL. Mental health and wellbeing, COVID-19 updates and safety information were the most useful topics since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • When we asked people what topics they would be interested in moving forward, whilst we embrace a new "COVID Normal" way of living, COVID information, mental health, exercise and symptom management came up as top four topics of interest.

How will MSL leverage your feedback?

  • The survey insights has helped us shape the resources and activities we delivered early this year, such as COVID-19 vaccine Q&A, which will inform our planning of upcoming programs.
  • In response to your feedback, we are continuing to provide COVID-19 information updates and practical safety information on our website. Our team has produced and procured a range of videos, articles and podcasts which can be viewed here.
  • We will continue to update our website with COVID-19 information, send you direct emails about the latest development and deliver webinars to help you overcome current challenges – the survey respondents rated these as useful resources and we want to ensure you have access to support and information to live well, despite any challenges.
  • Mental health and wellbeing information and resources was reported as the second-most useful topic. As part of our Education and Wellbeing Program, you can access Pilates, Tai Chi and Mindfulness programs from your own home, with more programs to come later this year.
  • Through the year, we will keep you updated about upcoming activities to support your health and wellbeing, so the MS community can feel supported and connected through COVID-19 challenges and beyond.

We are also committed to ensuring we deliver our information and resources in a way that is easy for you to find, so we will keep our COVID-19 resources page updated with useful information with a prominent link on our homepage We want the information to be accessible at your fingertips.
