15min seared tuna with sage


  • 450gm tuna, cut into 4 pieces
  • 2 medium cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2tbs finely grated lemon rind
  • 2tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 2tbs finely minced fresh sage
  • 1tbs finely minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • salt and black pepper to taste


  1. Rub tuna with 1tbs fresh lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Preheat a stainless steel skillet for 3 mins, then place a little amount of olive oil and sear tuna on each side for about 1 1/2 minutes. 
  3. Remove from pan and place on a plate.
  4. Add rest of ingredients to pan, and cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Pour over tuna and serve.
  6. Serve with steamed vegetables.
