Slowcooker vegetable rice


  • 1 onion, peeled and minced
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 green capsicum, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • pinch of turmeric (more if you like the taste)
  • 3/4 cup brown rice


  1. Put all ingredients into a slowcooker or casserole dish..
  2. Stir to mix well.
  3. Cover, and cook on low 7-10 hours.
