Family Camps

What’s a family camp?

Our family camps offer families living with MS the opportunity to meet and share experiences with other families in a fun and relaxed environment.

The sites we choose offer each family a room and ensuite of their own, plus an array of typical camp activities like canoeing, flying foxes, campfires, and much more!

We aim to offer a fun experience and a chance for you and your family to connect with likeminded people in a relaxed atmosphere.

The cost of the camp is covered by the funds we raise through the MS Readathon and includes accommodation and all meals and activities for the weekend.

How and when can I apply?

We’ll be opening registrations for the camps in your local state or territory three months before the camp is held. We’re unable to accept registrations before that time as we know life happens and many things can change for people.

Three months before the camp, we’ll send all families who are registered with Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MSL) and who are living in the same state or territory as the camp, an expression of interest form.  This form will ask you to tell us a bit about yourself and your family and what you’re hoping to gain from attending the camp.

Applications will remain open for six weeks. You will be notified of the outcome of your application via email a week after applications close.

How do you choose the families that will attend the camp?

In choosing which families will attend the camp, we consider the mix of children’s age groups, your interests in relation the camp activities, and previous family camp attendance.

How can I find out if i’m registered with MSL?

If you’re unsure about whether or not you’re registered with MSL or would like to be, please call MS Connect on 1800 042 130 or email msconnect@ms.org.au
