MS physiotherapy assessment

MS physiotherapy assessment is all about developing strategies to better manage your symptoms, improve your mobility and to be as independent as possible.

We start this process with a specialist neurological assessment.

Our physiotherapists will perform a specialist neurological assessment and will provide you with strategies on how you can better manage your symptoms, improve your mobility and ultimately to be as independent as possible in the community.

What problems can a physiotherapy assessment help you address?

  • Difficulty walking and getting around

  • Not sure how or where to exercise

  • Falling and tripping

  • Managing symptoms such as stiffness, weakness, heat sensitivity and pain

  • Not sure who can help me exercise

The benefits of our physio assessment

  • Improved ability to mobilise at home and in the community

  • An individual exercise program for home, the gym, the pool or outside

  • Recommendations regarding suitable local exercise classes

  • Decreased risk of falling or tripping

  • Advice about aids that will help you to get around more easily

  • Advice on how to manage symptoms

  • Training for your carers or other exercise instructors
