Understanding MS

Understanding MS: An Introduction for People Living with MS supports people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

The Understanding MS: An Introduction for People Living with MS DVD aims to educate people with MS and their families about multiple sclerosis, the emotions and feelings they may experience at diagnosis, and to help them understand that they can live well with multiple sclerosis.

The information is presented in a sensitive and practical way, and is divided into chapters so that people can view the information at a comfortable pace.

The booklet includes an 'Introduction' and four chapters:

  • Adjusting to a diagnosis
  • What is MS?
  • Living well with MS
  • Services and support

Understanding MS  delivers the empowering message that a person can live well, despite multiple sclerosis, through the management options available. The booklet also contains information about multiple sclerosis and how we can assist people with multiple sclerosis.
